2. Data We Do Not Collect

Unlike many other health and fitness applications, Smart Calorie Tracker is engineered to be an offline-first, local-storage utility. This means:

• No Accounts Required: We do not require an email address, phone number, or social media login to use our core features.
• No Health Data Harvesting: Your personal metrics (Age, Weight, Height, BMI, Activity Levels) and your dietary logs (Calories, Protein, Carbs, Fats, Water intake) are saved locally on your device. We do not transmit, store, or back up this data to our servers.
• No Third-Party Sale: Because we do not collect your personal health data, we cannot and will not sell or rent it to advertisers or data brokers.

3. Camera and Photo Library Access

Our app features an "AI Vision" Meal Scanner that allows you to instantly log meals using your device's camera. To provide this functionality, the app requires permission to access your Camera and Photo Library.

• Real-Time Processing: Images captured or selected are temporarily processed by our AI to identify food items and calculate macronutrients.
• No Image Storage: We do not secretly save, upload, or store your personal photos on our servers. Once the macro calculation is complete, the image data is discarded from active memory.

4. Website Calculators

If you use the free Advanced Macro and BMI Calculators on our website (smartcalorietracker.com):

• All calculations are performed entirely within your web browser using client-side scripts.
• The data you type into the calculator (gender, age, weight, height) is not sent to our databases, recorded, or tracked by us in any way.

5. Third-Party Services & Analytics

While we do not track your personal health data, we do use standard, anonymized third-party services to ensure our app and website function correctly:

• App Stores: Apple (App Store) and Google (Play Store) may collect anonymous crash reports and download metrics subject to their respective privacy policies.
• In-App Purchases: If you upgrade to our Premium Plan, your payment is processed securely through Apple or Google's native billing systems. We do not process or have access to your credit card information.

6. Managing Your Data

Because your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it. You can delete all your dietary history, logs, and personal metrics at any time simply by uninstalling the Smart Calorie Tracker app or clearing the app's data in your device settings.
